Yesterday, we trimmed Crumpet's nails. She needed it! I will not lie. She did not enjoy it, but it had to be done. We spent the rest of the day spoiling her and letting her know everything would be okay. We gave Crumpet her favorite Temptations Seafood flavored treats!
And we, of course, gave her lots of physical comfort, chin scratches, and pets.
This morning we gave her a nice new bed to curl up in and her regular breakfast. She was no longer worried about the shortness of her nails and seemed glad to see her people. She really craves attention, and there is no way she can get enough of it at the shelter, but we try to give her as much as possible.
